The P.L.A.T.O.^® loan program designed especially for Excelsior College is available to you regardless of whether you're degree-seeking or not, enrolled full-time, half-time or less than half-time.

The process is simple — apply either online, or by calling 1-800-GO-PLATO (1-800-467-5286). Within minutes, you'll know whether you've met the initial eligibility requirements. Your loan pre-filled loan application and promissory note will arrive by mail. Or you can save time by downloading your documents from our website. Simply verify the information you provided on the application, sign the application and return it along with the requested supporting documents. (The materials you receive by mail or download will provide a listing of the necessary documents to support your loan application).

If you are already enrolled: send proof of enrollment at Excelsior College with your signed application. (Proof of enrollment can be a copy of your enrollment verification form, which is enclosed in the student acceptance packet.) Your loan funds will be sent in a check made co-payable to you and Excelsior College.

If you are not yet enrolled: your check will be sent to you, but made co-payable to you and Excelsior College. At that point, simply send your endorsed check to Excelsior College Fiscal Office, 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY 12203, along with your completed enrollment form. Your enrollment fee will be deducted from your loan check, and any remaining balance will be sent to you to use for other education-related expenses such as books.
